UFCW United Latinos:

UFCW’s United Latinos is a movement of UFCW members and allies who are dedicated to advancing the interests and well-being of Latinx workers who contribute so much to our country. United Latinos is committed to building a diverse, engaged, and powerful union. Learn more about how you can get involved with this growing coalition here

UFCW Minority Coalition:

UFCW’s minority coalition helps ensure equal representation and opportunity for ALL members of our union. This coalition works to lift up underrepresented groups within UFCW’s member base – empowering them to stand up for fair treatment, better leadership opportunities in their retail stores, food processing plants, healthcare facilities and other workplaces.

UFCW OUTreach

UFCW OUTreach is a constituency group dedicated to empowering members of the Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (2SLGBTQ+) communities to organize for better social and economic equality in our communities.

Learn more about how you can become a member of UFCW OUTreach or support this coalition as it continues to foster greater equality for everyone who contributes to our workplaces, regardless of their background and personal identity.

UFCW Women’s Network

Women make up more than 50% of UFCW’s entire membership, and the UFCW Women’s network works to empower women members to bolster the strength of our union at the bargaining table and in our communities. Head to the UFCW Women’s Network membership page to apply to become a member of this constituency group.

Our democracy depends on active participation by everyone at election time. More voters means more power, so the more UFCW 540 members who register, the more power we have when we defend important workplace protections, push for new legislation, and ask politicians to support us.

In order to exercise your right to vote, you must first register. Just print out the PDF Voter Registration Form, fill in the blanks and mail it to your local voter registration office.

To be eligible to register in Texas, you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be a resident of the county
  • Be 18 years old (you may register at 17 years and 10 months)
  • Not be a convicted felon (unless a individual’s sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
  • Not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law
  • For a list of county voter registration offices, visit the Texas Secretary of State website

Shop Union

Good jobs depend on decisions people make every day. The best way to support the good wages and benefits we enjoy as Union members is to be sure and buy Union products whenever we can. Sometimes we may pay a few pennies more, but it’s worth it to know that the workers who made it have been paid and treated fairly.

SHOP UNION!! Support YOUR Local Union by purchasing brands and items that our members produce by patronizing the restaurants and companies that use their products
